Facebook Safety For Your Family & Children

I get allot of emails and questions on my profile about the real safety issues with social media and their families. I see a trend of parents already allowing supervised use of social media sites so that they can communicate with their extended family like grandparents, aunts and uncles. Though it my seem to be harmless, this practice of letting kids under 12 is going to open up a can of worms unless privacy settings within the social media site are set correctly.

Each social media site has great privacy settings that most people don’t know exist like blocking friendship requests, hiding important information to the public like e-mail address and personal locations like city, town, schools etc..

Parents that do allow their kids to participate should also be vigilant with the profile because even though you might allow them to communicate with a chosen few, it’s not the content that “they” would post, but that their friends might post. What?

If you know that the circles of friends that you have selected as people that your kids can participate with are aware of the kids being present, they will watch what they post. But the friends of those friends might not know and therefore when they post comments and they are not knowledgeable about who’s watching and that’s when the issues start to come up. (more…)

You should be selective in Choosing Activities for Your Child

Your child will grow into a child’s level or the level of basic education, you may want to consider involving them in various activities that are always different according to their growth needs. Choosing activities for your children may be a fun thing for you or your child, but how you know for certain that your child is old enough and mature enough to begin participating in activities or lessons?
Many Preschools have developed programs that can attract you to enter your child in kindergarten. Many children can learn and succeed between the ages of 3 and 5. Here are some questions for you to consider before you start choosing activities for your children:
Will my child’s experience in the activity?
If your children are really interested in a particular activity, they are more likely to be successful in these activities.
There are some activities that can help children gain new skills in life. For example, swimming lessons is very good because they practice and they can help children learn to be comfortable in the water before.
Is my child always eligible to be treated on focus and follow the instructions given in this activity?
Will my child have the time and I have time?
If you and your children can take dance lessons, karate, or through the daycare then this is something to be used, especially if you are a parent who is very busy.
How long are lessons held?
Different children of different levels are also more focused. When choosing activities for your children, do not forget to consider how much time they will have to concentrate and focus, and then determine whether your child is ready for this type of situation.

Which lessons are too short or long term?
There are many lessons your children can enjoy the short term. The interest rate that you have children in their activities should be considered.

The active learning inofatif and prosecuted all levels of education in the schools, this is a challenge and demands for teachers to be more creative and is always updating its methods of learning in the classroom.
This will eliminate the saturation akan experienced by students in the classroom, especially schools that implement the system in the two-term study, the study in the morning and afternoon.
Teachers who have a creativity that many will become an example to students and teachers who still need additional insight in teaching in the classroom.
Be very difficult when a teacher has a teaching style that Dead style (surname trend at this time).
In promoting learning system is not fully the responsibility of the schools, especially schools that did not get the attention of the government (left).
Hope that the school has a program to promote learning system that will be updated continuously growing and always need support from their parents.
